May
03
Remember remember the 3rd of May. Damn, nada saiz. Aku tu kan ikut kan macam the phrase arah 'V' for Vendetta.Anyways, 3rd May 2008 marked the day, where Laksamana, for the first time in ohh-so-many years, won the Sports Cup! I was told that Laksamana nada pernah manang for more than 12 years, or some say it's been more 20 years! Whack that, baby!
The Laksamanians were ecstatic. The supports from fellow compatriots were absolutely amazing. Team spirit, baby. Obviously, this year, team spirits werent something we lacked of. In addition to that, the athletes pun steady! Im not underestimating them ah. Frankly speaking, aku nada expect most of the Laksamanian athlete dapat either 2nd or 1st place, but heck, they did! Im not bragging here eh, but banar, aku tekajut durang dapat in the top 3. That's something to be proud of. Really. No kidding.
Thumbs up to you, fellow athletes. You deserve it.
Pasal the support thing lagi - the cheering and all were magnificent *liat thesaurus, looking other words for magnificient* ahh here we go, "marvellous". The Laksamanians berteriak like hell, supporting for their teammates, latuk-latuk wooden sticks, lumpat-lumpat when ada Laksamanian athlete kan sampai arah finishing line, bertakul-lan (hugging) sesama insan when ada Laksamanian athlete got 3rd, 2nd or 1st place, kami (being a Laksamanian me self) chant the house song every now and then, Zimin suka shout "Show them whose the best!" and we would show-off suara kami arah rumah yang lain saying in between these lines --> "We are the B-E-S-T among the-" yeah you know the drill.
Plus, kami sampat ber-posing for the frame every now and then. But darn it, im not in most of the frames, because aku the photographer.
Cikgu Raymie (correct spelling kah?Forgive me if salah) was awesome. Ia introduced us a new chant, in which i think most of the Laksamanians bangang. The words got jumbled up in our minds, macam "ehh? apakan? Lain tia words nya ni. Tadi lain ya, ani lain tia." But i like the last part of the new-chant, because we got to shout "heee!" with a long drag at the end, bunyi nya macam urang kan mampus. Hahah. But i like it. Plus, the actions to each wordings lagi macam arah the 'Gladiator' & '300' movie, more like a 'house-triotic' punya actions lah.
And my relay team got 2nd place in the 4x400 metre relay! Woohoo baby! Since i was the first runner kan, yatah aku macam kana bagi pressure to sprint like a cheetah. Hahah nada plang, i was exaggerating there. The crowd was bising, yatah aku nada dapat pay attention (alasan). The last 150 metres was excrutiating, i couldnt breathe properly, gasping for air. The people siring the track (espicially near the 1st lane, because aku in that lane) macam ngacau (yeah true). They were too close, yatah aku takut aku ter-trip. Eee if i'd the guts to tulak durang kebelakang masa atu wah, i would. Tapi aku malas hahah. And i think in the last 50 metres, my lower left leg aku terasa sakit. But heck, that always happen everytime aku run. So i guess it's normal. And I fell down immediately after i gave the batton to Ainul, at the finishing line. Damn, it was embarassing dude. They had to drag me out of the track. Aku macam urang kesian duduk under the tent, pigang-pigang kaki ku, and breathing in macam urang kepisan. When diff teacher that asked for my well-being, i practically didnt give them a decent answer. I kept on saying, "im okay, i'll be fine" something like that. It sounded rude. And im feel bad for that. But yeah, it wasnt a big deal anyway. Nothing to fuss about.
But in all, what a marvellous job done by my teammates Ainul, Bazilah and Khalilah. Excellent work, compatriots!
Since both Hulubalang's and Laksamana's supporters were situated at opposite ends of the track, we compete against each other. Everytime Hulubalang cheer, kami Laksamanians pun ikut-ikutan, or is it the other way round? But yeah, it was totally fun, the Laksamanians nyanyi Hulubalang punya chant and vice versa. Weird ehh? Yeah, but siuk yo.
At the very end of the event, all 4 houses duduk arah the field, as always. And we did the 'wave-hands' thing, which was ubber fun. Surprisingly, all of the 4 houses were great, we didnt 'boo' that much (hahah) to our enemies, unlike in any other years before. It was more like a friendly gesture. The aura was magnificient. The presence was felt.
And yeah, kami (Laksamanians) lumpat-lumpat macam urang baru kana inject steroids, when kana announced kami manang the Sports Cup. It was an ecstatic moment. Hahah.
We broke the 'deadlock', baby! And the 'curse' (hahah) was lifted in our final year. My batch's final year. How wonderful is that? Poifect. Couldnt be better.
No regrets.
I apologize if im rubbing these infos into your face. It wasnt a deliberate action.
